This photo was taken in Yellowstone Park in late September with a 500mm lens. You can't really tell in the photo, but apparently this guy had been fighting with another bull before the sun came up that morning. He had a pretty significant limp. If you look closely you can kind of see that he is favoring his right front leg. I felt bad for him, knowing he may not make it through the trials of a Yellowstone winter.

When I first spotted this blue grouse it was about 100 feet away. I got off the atv I was riding, grabbed the camera with 60-250 lens and snapped a few shots. While I was shooting it kept strutting closer and closer, I thought "cool great photo op" before too long it was within a few feet of me and didn't seem very happy that I was there. It's not the best picture, I didn't get much time to adjust the camera before it was right in front of me. I fianlly had to back away. Wild!
