About

Me

I currently live with my wife Melissa and our two dogs in Pinehurst, a small town in the Silver Valley of North Idaho.  My primary photography enjoyment is landscape and wildlife images.   My inspiration has evolved over about a ten year timeframe.  Not long after I started a new job as a wildland firefighter in the summer of 2000 I purchased my first point and shoot camera to capture the thrills of working in a field that truly fit my personality.  As I started to gain more knowledge, and skills as a photographer the passion and desire to take better pictures continued to grow.  My job afforded me the opportunity to travel to many very picturesque areas of the west, fueling the passion.  In 2008 I purchased my first DSLR camera.  From that point my goal has always been to make images that made people say "wow".  I am very fortunate to have the abundant photographic opportunities living in this very scenic part of the Pacific Northwest.

Thank you for your support and taking the time to look at my work!
